Postdoctoral positions in Computational Biology/ Bioinformatics at USA

Postdoctoral positions are available in Liang Chen’s group (http://www-rcf.usc.edu/~liangche/ ) at University of Southern California.

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals for postdoctoral positions in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. The successful candidates will work on the cutting-edge research area of high-throughput sequencing data analysis (e.g., RNA-seq) and gene expression regulation analysis (e.g., alternative splicing regulation). The candidates will develop novel statistical and computational methods for analyzing high-throughput sequencing data and other types of genomic data. The candidates will have the opportunities to work collaboratively with experimental biologists in the field of stem cell biology.

Requirements :

1. Ph.D. degree in biostatistics, computational biology, or bioinformatics. A strong quantitative background is required.

2. Practical experience in analyzing and managing large high-throughput datasets.

3. Proficiency in programming (e.g., Java, C/C++, Perl, R) and experience with Linux/Unix environment.

4. Research experience (with first-author publications) in computational biology or bioinformatics.
