Feinberg Cardiovascular research Institute(FCVRI) at Northwestern University’s Feinberg school of medicine seeks a Postdoctoral research fellow with an interest in mitochondrial and metabolic research in cardiovascular disease,in the laboratory of Hossein Ardehali,MD,PhD.
We work on 4 different proteins and have generated animal models for these proteins and have tools to modulate the levels of the protein in tissue culture .In addition ,we work on a specific microRNA and are studying this molecule in tissue culture and intact animals .Our lab uses animals and cell culture models,and standard molecular biology techniques.
The successful candidate will have MD or PhD in a life science discipline and expertise in cardiovascular and/or metabolic research.Expertise in cell and molecular biology and experience with animals is required.
