JRF opening Plant Biology/ Biotechnology at University of Madras, Chennai

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following temporary positions available in a DST sponsored project entitled “INDUCTION OF UV-B RADIATION RESISTANCE IN SOME MICROALGAE AND THEIR APPLICATION IN ENHANCED CARBON SEQUESTRATION AND SYNTHESIS OF COMMERCIALLY IMPORTANT METABOLITES” for a period of 3 years at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Botany, University of Madras, Maraimalai campus, Guindy, Chennai 600025.

Post : Junior Research Fellows (Two positions)
Qualification : M.Sc. Botany/Applied Plant Science/ Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology/Industrial Microbiology/Plant Sciences/ Candidates who have passed NET/SLET and specialization in Algology are preferred
Emoluments : Rs.16000/- plus 30% HRA for first 2 years and Rs.18000/- plus 30% HRA for the 3rd year

Qualification : B.Sc. Botany/ Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology with a First Class
Emoluments : Rs.5000/- consolidated
